What to Read in 2016
One of my resolutions this year was to read more for pleasure. I truly love reading but the last thing I want to do when I get home from work is focus on something else. I want to watch The Bachelor with a glass of wine in my hand, plus it’s hard to hold a book and a wine glass at the same time. Basically, there should always be wine. But, you know, I’m trying to better myself, keep my mind healthy, and have topics of conversation if I ever attend a cocktail party so I made a stack of novels in my bookcase that I’m determined to get through this year.
Whether you’ve made a similar resolution or are just looking for a novel to cozy up with on a rainy Sunday afternoon, here’s a collection of books people (including myself) are going to be talking about this year, if they aren’t already, or they're just really good books I think everyone should read. Some have relevant social themes, others are becoming movies in the near future, but all of them deserve to be on your reading list for 2016.
