Work It: What to Wear to Work for Summer

Personally, my key to dressing for work in the summer is picking pieces that touch my body as little as possible. It’s all about that breeze, y’all. In my corporate-casual world, we get to show up to work pretty much in anything that isn’t pajamas or “nightwear”. Even so, during the hot summer months it’s hard to find the line between “yes, hello, I am a professional with a job” and “oh my god there is sweat on literally every inch of my body how is that even possible”.

You still want to show up looking ready and professional. Stacy London and Clinton Kelly would point out here to dress for the job you want, not the job you have. Even when it’s hot and gross and sweaty outside.

Here’s a collection of pieces that meet my summer office criteria to hopefully give you some ideas on your weekday wardrobe.
