Get Bubbled

I never used to take baths. I was a lot like Chandler Bing before Monica drew him a bath with lavender and candles. I tried so hard to enjoy them but I would get so bored or it would be too hot and I felt like I needed to keep a cold washcloth on my forehead to stay alive. Recently though, I’ve started to live a more stressful life and the need to value my mental health has pushed me toward a ritual of spa-like pampering. And since I can't afford to go to an actual spa more than once a year on my birthday, I've resorted to baths; the most relaxing and probably cheapest option.

For the last few months my typical Thursday or Friday night involves me taking a luxurious bath with a glass of wine while I listen to soothing music or an old Frank Sinatra movie on Netflix. As some what of newbie, I bought a ton of beauty and bath products to test the waters, so to speak, and see what I liked. I quickly found out that I can’t handle the food smells, or things that are too sweet. My ultimate bath enemy are the things that smell like cupcakes or sugar cookies. I go for a fresh, clean smell; cotton, softer flowers, aloe, sometimes lavender, eucalyptus, mint is okay I guess.

Here are a few of my favorite lux bath products that keep me going and help me to show up to work on Monday and not kill anyone. Happy soaking!
